Pastor Ted – Bethany United Church of Christ

On September 13, 2020, the congregation of Bethany United Church of Christ voted unanimously to call Edward (Ted) Wilkinson to be their new pastor. Pastor Ted accepted beginning October 18, 2020.

Pastor Ted is a graduate of Wake Forest School of Divinity, Class of 2015. Originally from Maryland, he first came to North Carolina in 2003 when he attended Guilford College. Pastor Ted was raised in the Episcopal church but joined the UCC denomination in 2015 after interning with Peace United Church of Christ in Greensboro. Before accepting the call to pastor at Bethany, Pastor Ted was the Youth Director at Peace UCC Greensboro from 2017 to 2020.

He continues to work with young adults with developmental disabilities. Pastor Ted lives in High Point with his wife, Lindsey, and their two adorable cats – Katia & Darcy.
